A celebrant-led wedding gives you the freedom to make meaningful choices about your ceremony.

You might want to tell the story of how you met, involve your children, write personal vows or introduce a symbolic ritual. You may want laughter, poetry, music or a moment to remember somebody who cannot be present.

Perhaps you already have a wonderfully clear vision. Perhaps all you know is that you want the ceremony to feel warm, relaxed and unmistakably yours.

Your ceremony can take place in a barn, hotel, woodland, garden, family home, marquee or another location that matters to you, subject to the venue’s permission.

An initial conversation

We begin with a relaxed, no-obligation conversation about your wedding, your ideas and the experience you want to create for yourselves and your guests.

Time to get to know you

If we decide to work together, I will ask thoughtful questions about your relationship, your shared history and the people and experiences that have shaped you.

A ceremony written for you

I write an original script using your stories, tone and choices. You will have an opportunity to review it and discuss any changes before the wedding.

Help with vows, readings and rituals

I can help you write personal vows, select readings, include music and choose rituals that carry genuine meaning rather than feeling added for appearance.

Liaison and preparation

Where needed, I can coordinate with your venue and other wedding professionals. We will make sure everyone understands the ceremony plan, entrances, cues and practical arrangements.

Calm leadership on the day

I will arrive prepared and in good time, ready to lead your ceremony with warmth, confidence and flexibility.

Afterwards, you will receive a commemorative copy of your ceremony script and a Latansani blessing certificate.

More than a ceremony reader

My background in teaching, theatre, writing, directing and public speaking means I understand both words and performance.

I know how to write a script that sounds natural when spoken aloud. I also know how to hold a room, put nervous people at ease and respond calmly when live events produce an unexpected surprise -which they sometimes do.

The preparation is meticulous. The ceremony itself should feel effortless.

Your ceremony can be for any faith, mixed faith or none. We can honour different cultures and family traditions without allowing convention to take over from what matters to you.

I speak English and French and have experience incorporating another language into a ceremony so that overseas relatives feel recognised and included.

What is a celebrant-led wedding?

A celebrant-led wedding is a personal ceremony created around your relationship and choices. It offers far more freedom over the wording, structure, location and people involved than a standard ceremony.

You should check the current legal requirements for marriage registration separately. I can explain how couples commonly arrange the legal and celebratory parts of their wedding.

Can we write our own vows?

Yes. You can write your vows independently, write them together or ask me to help you find the right words. You can also keep them secret from one another until the ceremony.

Can children, relatives or friends take part?

Absolutely. Children and other important people can contribute through readings, promises, music, symbolic rituals or other carefully chosen roles.

Can we include religious or cultural traditions?

Yes. I can incorporate meaningful elements from one or more traditions or create an entirely non-religious ceremony.

Do you conduct outdoor ceremonies?

Yes. Celebrant-led ceremonies can take place in many outdoor settings, subject to permission from the venue or landowner. We will also agree on a practical wet-weather plan.

How far do you travel?

I work throughout Devon and across the South West and can also travel nationally or internationally by arrangement.

How much does a wedding ceremony cost?

Wedding celebrancy services start from £625. Your quotation will reflect the location, ceremony requirements, travel and any additional hosting or coordination you request.
